Ghetto Cowboy (James Emerson) has been singing since he was 6 years old. He was born in Homer, Louisiana and actually had his own band by age 12. He brings a mix of ole' school R&B plus Blues.
The Ghetto Cowboy has opened for virtually all the major blues artist.such as BOBBY RUSH, SIR CHARLES JONES, REGGIE P.,T K SOUL, DENISE LASALLE, MARVIN SEASE, DAVID BRINSTON, CARL MARSHALL, RICKEY WHITE, EARL DUKE, LABRADO, KAREN WOLFF, O B BUCANNAN, BIGG ROBB, THE BARKAYS ,and many more.
His hits include 'Rooster in the Hen House' , 'Party Goin On' , 'Bring Home the Bacon', and 'Pop a Pill' (featuring Big Robb). Additionally remixes featuring Andre Lee and Miss Goldie make him the indisputable creator of "black country soul".
